We were all a bit shocked to find snow at school this morning. It was all over the bark areas, our shade area, and our slide! Some of us made some snowballs out of it, but unfortunately the sun came out and melted it all before morning tea.
Do you know how snow is made?
Where else did snow fall in New Zealand?
Hi Room 1
ReplyDeleteWe were excited yesterday after morning-tea time, when it started snowing at our school.
The snow got heavier and heavier and by lunch time there was a good coating.
The teachers let the kids play in it a bit, but not for long as they would get too wet and cold.
The bus kids had to leave at lunch time so they could get home.
At home time the sun came out, and I bet you can guess what all the kids were doing when they got home!

Hi Room 1,
ReplyDeleteWe knew that you had some surprise snow falls because we saw it on the news here in Brisbane. But we had no idea how beautiful it must have looked until we saw it here on your blog. We are very jealous that you had the chance to make your very own snowmen right there at school.
Was everybody able to get to school even in the snow?

Dear Room 1,
ReplyDeleteHow exciting to have snow in your school grounds. It looked like you were having so much fun making your snowmen. In our class, only one student has ever seen snow. Have you had snow in Tokomaru before?
